As one of rap’s most commanding new presences, Kenny Beats has produced career-defining music for the likes of NBA Youngboy, Rico Nasty, FKA Twigs, Freddie Gibbs and Vince Staples, and recorded agit-punk for Bristol’s IDLES straight to tape.

He has also reimagined what it means to be a producer today, leading a generation of bedroom beatmakers through his various tutorial live streams and the episodic production series The Cave.

On LOUIE, Kenny draws on the rich soul-soaked traditions of outliers like J.Dilla, Madlib and D’Angelo, to explore themes of his own family, childhood, and upbringing for the first time. A tribute to Kenny's overall relationship to music, LOUIE enlists an ensemble cast of collaborators and players to offer up a new kind of producer album, adding all new layers to his own still-growing voice.
