As the first non-Beatle artists signed to Apple Records, the Welsh band Badfinger, formerly known as The Iveys, embarked on a new chapter with this album. The record features their first international hit, "Come and Get It," written and produced by Paul McCartney.

The album blends elements of psychedelic and baroque pop. Tracks like "Carry On Till Tomorrow," produced by McCartney with string arrangements by George Martin, exemplify the band's ability to craft timeless melodies. "Rock of All Ages," another McCartney-produced track, further highlights their collaborative synergy with The Beatles.
